Sometimes, the work culture makes it an epidemic and it may cause trouble to the employee’s health. As a result, it may harm your business. While the body can handle this short-terms stress as it doesn’t last long. That’s where a break or leader’s job role comes into play. The team members require a great leader to get stress-free and build healthy professional relationships. When they are not happy, it affects the services as well. The reputation can upgrade your business, or vice-versa. Here’s how Jignesh Barsara explains how to manage the stress of your team with modest behaviour. Listing down a few ways which might help you out! 1. Open your toolkit. To be a great leader, one needs to set his/her team for success by giving them the tools to learn how to manage stress. There’s a lot that one can do, inclusive of considering time-management classes or training on effective prioritization and delegation. And try to constantly take a pulse-check on stress and on whether or not you’ve created effective EAP and wellness programs. Don’t just leave that stuff to HR. Own it, lead it. You should empower your team for success by providing additional resources specific to your team members. Stress is powerful and can take troll on mental health. It’s impossible to fight it unless you understand it. When you give employees the tools to manage their stress, they’re able to take control of their destiny. Why is this important? The more in control your employees feel, the less stressed they’ll be. 2. Be transparent. Transparency is essential. But one can exercise a few unique ways of leadership by personally sharing company values and goals in various team meetings held for the sole purpose of reducing employee stress. You should use those opportunities at the very most. To be clear about how employees fit into the bigger picture and thank individuals and team for their contributions at every stage. At every turn possible, remember how the company performance data and results have been achieved by the employees. When you’re not transparent, employees will feel out of the loop, which causes a lot of worrying and thinking about worst-case scenarios. When you’re transparent and appreciative, your team members will rely upon you and you’ll improve as a leader, reducing their stress and yours too. 3. Embrace time off when needed. Did you know that nearly seven out of 10 workers force themselves to work while sick? Be the change by encouraging employees that health should be given priority and remind them about the importance of taking time off. Creating an environment that encourages time off when needed might be easier than you think. Foreign Companies are realizing the importance of this.
We also need time to catch up on sleep. A staggering 37 percent of workers suffer from sleep deprivation. Are you sleep-deprived? Chances are high that if you’re stressed, you’re lacking on sleep.
